With spring right around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about events to add to your family’s events calendar! Saanich has so many incredible community gatherings year round, many of which are family friendly. Below I’ve listed some of the events I attended last year, that are once again popping up on Saanich community calendars. Rain or shine, make sure you get out into the beautiful Saanich community and connect with your neighbors by attending one of these five exceptional events!

Join your friends at the Saanich Cycling Festival, an eight-station ride, featuring celebration stations along the districts incredible trail systems.

Celebrate your mother by inviting her to Playfair Park for a Mother’s Day concert, showcasing some of the most beautiful rhododendrons you’ve ever seen and the talented Orchestra of Reynolds High School.

Join your friends at the Brentwood Bay Festival, featuring a parade, face painting, kiddie parachute games, snacks and more!

This Canada day, take a stroll down the Gorge waterway to see some of the most incredible local artwork, and enjoy snacks and refreshments. Art featured will include paintings, sculptures, metal, jewelry, and textiles and photography.

If you haven’t been to Gyro Park yet, the Cadboro Bay Fesitival is the perfect time to visit! With a variety of family friendly activities, including sand sculptures, kids treasure maps, a band, and refreshments, this event is one not to miss!
